There are food pantries across the Beaufort County region that provide food to those in need. Additionally, there are non-profit organizations in nearby Martin, North Carolina that also help those in need. There are too many households that are hungry, including many with children or senior citizens. These pantries and soup kitchens can help in an emergency.

The resources available vary a lot and will change throughout the year. A free or low cost box of food will be provided when possible. This box will include canned and/or fresh goods. Deeper Life Ministries is a food bank that is located at 4470 Highway 264 West in Washington, North Carolina. The food bank provides up to one box of groceries per month for people in need. The Brown Bag Food Program is a service for senior citizens in Beaufort County.
