Funds to pay for rent, utilities and prevent evictions
The Fund to Prevent Homelessness will provide grants to families in Gloucester, Beverly, Essex, Rockport, Hamilton, Manchester, and Wenham who need assistance with rent or housing. They will help those who do not qualify for funding from any other source. They are a proactive organization, and try to provide aid before the family gets into serious trouble or faces eviction.
The organization only gives contributions to families who have at least one parent and one child living in the home. There is a screening process to help ensure that families who request assistance and need the most help are assisted. A volunteer professional intake coordinator will review and evaluate the requests to determine the best way to provide assistance.
