All of the housing counseling and homeowner education services from the community action agency are provided to people on a one-on-one basis. HHCP provides low-interest home loans to help low and moderate-income families become financially independent. Utility bill services and programs

One example of a program that provides repairs to electrical and heating systems and roofs is the Minor Home Repair Program. Counseling from community action
People Incorporated offers financial services that include low-interest consumer loans. They can be issued to clients for up to 36 months, to be used for paying rent, household expenses, car purchases, or maybe even credit card bill consolidation.
The PI community action also helps moderate income working families by providing them with the means to create a special savings account. They will match any deposits made by the participant. PI provides extra programming and assistance for victims of domestic violence, on top of all the other housing programming mentioned. This program provides supportive services, emergency shelter and advocacy to people affected by domestic violence. Other programs provide immediate support, counseling, and assistance through a Crisis Hotline. The non-profit has a Court Appointed Special Advocate who trains volunteers to act as advocates for abused and/or neglected children.
Head Start and Early Head Start are educational programs that provide children and families from low-income households with access to quality developmental, educational, nutritional, health, and social services. Head Start is a program that provides services to families with children in certain areas. These areas include Buchanan, Manassas, Clarke, and Prince William.
The program is for children aged three to five. Early Head Start serves babies and infants up to age three. Both of these methods also help parents, as well as pregnant women. Both programs also emphasize the importance of parental involvement in their children’s education, and encourage parents to participate as well. People Incorporated of Virginia also offers parenting, adult literacy, and career skills classes.
PI has a daycare at the Child Development Center in Clintwood Virginia that is both affordable and high-quality. If you are a family that is struggling to make ends meet, there is help available. You can take advantage of resources such as full-day infant-toddler and preschool classrooms, summer care for school-aged children, and before and after school child care. These services can provide some much-needed assistance and relief.
The agency is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of residents through the Comprehensive Health Investment Project (CHIP). This initiative provides resources and support for physical and mental health services and programs. This program provides education and home visits to Medicaid-eligible pregnant women and families with young children to help them improve their health. The non-profit will also provide dental health care at a low cost or for free at the Washington County Free Dental Clinic.
