Salvation Army Family Center assistance programs in Maury County.

The Salvation Army does not have an operation in Maury County, Tennessee, but they partner with the Family Center to provide social services. The church provides many services to help people in need, including financial assistance for rent or utilities, a Santa Workshop for toys, job placement, and free school supplies.

The Center is a branch of the Salvation Army. This means that programs are funded by a thrift store and by donations from the annual Red Kettle campaign. The importance of personal growth and development is also emphasised in the case management process. The Salvation Army in Maury County does not have its own separate building, but the Family Center is doing a good job in meeting the needs of the community.

Seasonal services and basic needs

The four main programs that fall into this category are reading, writing, math, and science. This is a monthly clothing giveaway. The items that are given away need to be good quality and in good condition. The free clothes can help a family save money every month.

The second thing on the list is free back to school supplies. Every year, hundreds of kids are helped. There will be uniforms available to meet any dress codes, free haircuts given by volunteers, and the Salvation Army will also give out supplies. This could be things like notebooks, binders, pens, pencils, etc.

If you would like to have a Thanksgiving meal, you can Adopt a Box. The box will contain a turkey and various side dishes or accompaniments. This may include cranberries, rolls, and other similar items. Santa’s Workshop is a resource where you can talk to a Santa that is real and get a response back from him. The Santa’s Workshop program is the last resource. With this program, you can talk to a real Santa and get a response back. Each child is given two or three presents and stocking stuffers. Both of those programs rely on donations from the community.

Growth and Development

The three education programs happen every month and are as follows. Adult literacy refers to the ability of adults to read and write. Job placement refers to the process of finding a job. Budgeting/counseling refers to the process of advising people on how to manage their finances. They each talk about a separate need, but if used together, they can help stop poverty.
