The House of Tiny Treasures is an early childhood education program that provides a developmentally appropriate education for preschool-age children and toddlers. The program is designed to help very low income people, or children of the homeless or single moms. It gives them the ability to solve problems, control themselves, and think critically – all skills that are necessary for success in kindergarten.
The HTT programming resource provides basic education, intensive art, medical checkups, and speech therapy. Healthy and nutritious meals are served at regular intervals throughout the day. Additionally, most of the clients reside in area shelters or other housing programs. This means that HTT not only provides educational and support services for the entire family, but also provides support for the parents. The goal of becoming self-sufficient is assisted by this.
