The locations of most food pantries in Darlington County are at churches. They will usually only help people who live in the same area as the church. There are other food assistance programs available, including at non-profits and social service agencies. These programs may offer referrals.

Anointed Outreach Ministries is a food pantry located in Darlington, South Carolina. The pantry is open every Sunday from 11:00am to 3:00pm. There may also be drinks, small hot lunches, and other supplies given out.

The soup kitchen is open every day at 11am, and it is free. There are also holiday meals served on Thanksgiving and Christmas. The poor and homeless often come in.

They provide school lunch for kids who need it. Darlington County students can receive free food so they have something to eat during the weekend.

The Nazareth Apostolic Church is open on the fourth Saturday of every month from 7:00 to 8:00am.

TheDarlington County Department of Social Services (DSS) provides economic assistance through various programs to eligible county residents in need. The programs offered include Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, also known as food stamps), and welfare. HRC Crusade for Christ Ministries provides a food pantry, seasonal services, a clothing closet, and Christmas food or toys for low income families.
