Free fans in Lexington South Carolina.

The summers in Lexington, South Carolina, can get really hot and humid. The hot summer days, nights, and months can be unbearable without a cool breeze. Those who don’t have air conditioners or can’t afford to pay their cooling bills really suffer during these times.

The Lexington Police Department runs a yearly program where fans can donate money. This government organization is working to make sure low income and senior residents of the greater Lexington region can stay cool, safe, and healthy. To help achieve this goal, they provide fans to the community. The service can also benefit people with low incomes, as it will help them reduce their air conditioning and cooling bills. The fan can be used in place of more expensive cooling methods.

The program is really only possible because of the donations and contributions from the local community. There are many different groups and people who contribute to the program, such as churches, charities, local businesses, and generous individuals. Town residents who need a free fan this summer can go to the police department to apply for assistance.

The department will do its best to give out as many distributions as possible to qualified individuals, but it is limited on how many it can give out based on the generosity of the community. People in the Lexington SC area donate fans to help those who need them. Many people have benefited from this resource over the years.

The police department is always concerned for the safety of the citizens, especially seniors and the most vulnerable, in the Town of Lexington throughout the year.

It is important to keep elderly and seniors cool during these hot summer months. Aid is especially targeted at individuals who are sick, or those who don’t have any money for utilities.

The Police Department and the Salvation Army not only take fans and give them out to our residents at no cost, but members of the Police Department also go and check on seniors during extreme temperatures, especially in the summer time heat and humidity. The police department will also check on seniors during winter, when some aid can also be offered.

Community members who wish to pick up or drop off fans can do so from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Volunteers and members of the local Community Action Team will be available to assist them. There is a limit of one fan per household. The number of items provided will depend on the amount of stock available. Some items can be delivered to people who are unable to leave their homes or who are too sick to pick up a unit.

The fan donation program is administered by the local Police Department, which is currently located on 111 Maiden Lane in Lexington. If you need help paying your energy bill, please visit our office for referrals and information about general energy assistance programs.
