Senior Citizens United Community Services uses government grants to provide assistance with heating bills and other related services. The Emergency Fuel and Heater Repair/Replacement Program provides free heating fuel (up to 100 gallons) and unit repair or replacement for those who qualify.

You will need to make a reservation at each site where you want to have a meal, and the non-profit running the program may ask for a small donation for each meal. However, you are not required to give a donation. Some sites offer transportation for those who need it.
Home-delivered meals are available to seniors who are ill, homebound, frail, or physically or mentally unable to leave their homes. Those with limited or no family support in the area will be given priority. The Adult Family Care Program is designed to help senior citizens and elderly clients by placing them in the homes of trained and supervised family caregivers. The program strives to ensure that all client needs are met. Living in a home environment is better for seniors than living in an institution because they get more personalized care. AFC provides services that include Meal Preparation, assistance with Personal Care, Transportation, Medication Supervision, and even Laundry and Housekeeping.
Caregivers, seniors, and disabled residents can all get support. The Respite Program at SCUS provides caregivers with a much-needed break, whether it’s a few hours, a few days, or even weeks. There is help available for those who need a break from their usual duties and stress of taking care of loved ones.
There are many different respite services available to people who are taking care of others. they will be able to choose the best option from a list of resources that includes adult day care programs, temporary out-of-home placements, and in-home health aides.
