The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides grant money to help low-income households pay for heating and utility bills. Money can be used to pay for regular monthly expenses, as well as to provide assistance in a time of need.

The agency provides assistance to those who have lost their jobs, through no fault of their own. They offer programs to help these individuals find new employment. More help can be given to young people and adults who are looking for a job or a new job. Counselors can provide an individualized assessment of a worker’s education, experience and skills to help them develop an individualized employment plan to reenter the workforce. If you need help learning or doing your job, there are programs to assist you.
The referrals program provides information about other assistance programs in Easter Missouri and St. Francois area. EMAA staff can help clients apply for SNAP food stamps, direct them to food pantries, low income housing, or other government grant programs.
