Catholic Charities is a faith-based organization that operates across several counties in the Piedmont region of South Carolina. The organization provides services such as food assistance, housing, and healthcare to those in need. Even though there is not a lot of money available, most of it is being used to pay for rent or utility bills. Catholic Charities will help clients by providing low-cost counseling and guidance, often with the help of attorneys. This is for immigrants who cannot afford a lawyer on their own and have a low income. The ESL program is often combined with the Citizenship program to help immigrants become citizens of the United States. The program teaches civics, basic history, and other skills.
