Catholic Charities partners with a lot of different organizations in Rockland County. The organization will work together to provide resources to those who are less fortunate, have a low income, or are unemployed. The goal of this program is to help people become self-sufficient and stable, rather than just helping them pay for rent or utilities to avoid being evicted.

There are programs in Rockland County New York that can help people who are in need. They are mainly funded by private donations, the Department of Labor, and government grants. Social workers will go over your options with you and help you sign up for programs.

The food pantry will not refuse service to anyone. If you meet the qualifications, you can usually get help once a month. These include emergency funds for rent expenses and case management. Other support may be available depending on your situation. Clients can request and may be eligible for one-time financial assistance. This program is designed to help families in need of basic necessities, such as prescriptions, utility bills, furniture, and funeral assistance. Emergency relief funds are limited by how much money is available and how much money is donated.

There are organizations that offer low-cost legal services for immigrants. This means that all services have been approved by the federal government. Help is offered for Work Authorization Applications, Naturalization, Relative Petitions, and employment services for immigrants. The organization may offer services such as advocacy and referrals to other services as needed. A small consultation fee may apply.

There is an Immigration Hotline that is available in all towns and counties in New York. This is a program that gives people information and help finding resources in their state. The hotline responds to questions about citizenship and immigration. The services are offered in many languages, including Spanish, Macedonian, Arabic, Chinese, Italian, and more. There are many holiday and seasonal assistance programs, such as the Adopt A Family program, the Back-To-School Book Bag Program, and the Easter and Thanksgiving Basket Program.

Catholic Community Services runs a program where people can adopt a family. The charity wants to improve the Christmas and Holiday Season for children, the elderly and families in the Rockland community who are in need. Hundreds of residents, mostly children, are matched with private donors who give them gifts of toys, clothing, and other household items. The program is very successful at making the holidays better for people who need help. The organization relies on volunteers and donations from the community to function.

The Easter and Thanksgiving Basket Program provides food for those in need. Many families have extra expenses during the holidays and winter months and may need help. Catholic Charities is an organization that helps people in need. They will be giving out baskets of food to people who cannot afford it this holiday season. Your donations of non-perishable food items, turkeys, fresh produce, and other food items are greatly appreciated and needed. The churches could also use gift cards to local grocery and drug stores.

The Backpack Program provides book bags, notebooks, school supplies, and backpacks to children who need them when returning to school. The backpack program provides new backpacks for children and teenagers who need them for school.
