The goal of the Eastern Plains Community Action Agency is to provide both immediate and long-term assistance. This can mean anything from having a food pantry on site to providing financial assistance for living expenses, such as utilities or rent. The other resource may be focused on long term needs such as job placement, life skills training or credit counseling in Curry, DeBaca, Guadalupe, Quay, Roosevelt, Union, or Harding County.

We will give assistance to those in the community who are trying to break the cycle of poverty and/or homelessness. This organization plans to help those in need, but only if they are willing to work for it. They want to provide people with an opportunity to improve their circumstances, not just give them free handouts. In any case, they will try to help when possible.

The EPCAA is a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to people living in poverty-stricken areas. This assistance comes in the form of Community Service Block Grants, which are given to help people in need. There may be government grants available to help with living expenses, such as rent, medications, and energy bills. This option is for people who are in severe financial distress due to circumstances beyond their control, such as temporary unemployment or an illness. The applicant needs to be able to pay future bills without financial assistance from Eastern Plains Community Action Agency.
