The Community Service Agency Partnership is an organization dedicated to helping those who are at risk of becoming homeless. They work with state organizations such as Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC) or maybe even the federal government Housing and Urban Development Department (HUD). They work together to help families who are going to be evicted by giving them money to pay for their rent, finding them new places to live, and referring them to places where rent is cheaper. There may also be funds available to help with the security deposit on a new home or to cover the first or last month’s rent.
Prevention Assistance is a group that helps people prevent bad things from happening. The county will provide funds to help people who have low incomes, who are seniors, and who have disabilities, with money that they need. The funds are used to pay for things that could cause someone to become homeless if they went unpaid, like rent, mortgages, and utility bills.
You can only get financial aid once every two years. A household that needs help must have gone through a tough situation in the last 6 months and be able to show it. The organization requires individuals to provide evidence that they can afford rent and participate in activities such as case management and workshops.
